This year, we began our school year with a week featuring Master Smythe and The Olympian Safety Program. This is the best gift we can give our children. Master Smythe teaches and models respect and we all wish he could become a permanent member of our staff! When Master Smythe has the children repeat "I will respect my parents and teachers because they are the givers of knowledge", all the teachers know that an important ally is in our school. All that week, he was out and about during recesses, talking to the children and sharing his ideas and beliefs about respect.
